Area Vitali - Parco Dora Torino

The Ferriere Piemontesi settled in 1907 in the large area half-empty in the north part of the Dora. In the following years they became Fiat Ferriere and expanded, occupying the lots closest to the river. The photo, from the 1920s, still shows the cohabitation of agriculture (the Scaravella farmhouse) and the new residential suburbs with the factories of the first industrial phase.
