The Galleria Natta, opened to the public in 1858 in the position of the present Galleria San Federico, had an L-shaped plan, with two entrances, from via Roma and from via Santa Teresa. Work by Barnaba Panizza, it took its name from the owner of the building and will later be called Natta-Geisser, adding the name of the new owner who bought it in 1876.
