Splendor cinema by the engeneer Fenoglio

In 1909 the eng. Pietro Fenoglio designs the Cinema Splendor, the first Turin room created from scratch, in the courtyard of via Roma 3. A reinforced concrete covering of the hall is made to allow a capacity of 650 seats. Another cinema which disappeared with the demolition of via Roma is the Minerva cinema. In 1913 it boasted a yellow-tiled facade and a showy blue effigy of the Hellenic Athena.
