City as representation of the power
The image of the new urban structure reflects a rational and unitary vision, the Castellamonte design enhances the urban space in which the the homogeneity of the overall composition stands out at the expense of the individuality of the single building. The uniformity and rigor of the design of the façades reflected the need to represent absolute power that will affect the entire urban layout of the 1600s.
