Via Roma "Vecchia" Torino

In 1930 the demolition and reconstruction of the 1st section of via Roma was approved; the works were completed in 1933. The project wanted to give back dignity to the street, which was very degraded especially in the internal parts of the blocks. Insurance companies and industrial groups will finance the works and take possession of considerable property income, imposing new high-level residential and commercial destinations, radically changing the social composition of the buildings.
