The urban fabric changes

The nineteenth-century urban transformation processes change the role of the neighborhood. In 1860, a project concerned the blocks next to the Porte Palatine, with demolitions and new buildings. In 1887, when the Mauritian Order obtained authorization for the sale of the Mauritian hospital.
