Luci d'artista

It is one of the locations of the temporary annual exhibition Luci d'artista, conceived in Turin in 1998 and then also exported to Salerno. During the Christmas period, some squares and streets of the City are dressed in original light installations, specially designed by artists, to form a contemporary open-air art gallery. Here it is placed Flying Carpet (1999) of the French Daniel Buren a luminous carpet composed of 1344 lamps - plexiglass cubes with alternating white and red or white and blue faces - modern Chinese lanterns suspended in midair to redesign the space of the square.
