The irrigation belt around Turin is fertile land used for centuries, and organized from the seventeenth to the whole of the 20th century in large plots of complex farms, with large buildings around open courtyards. Buildings and subdivisions are geometric signs in the landscape with rows, canals and buildings well organized with respect to the surrounding paths and open spaces, arranged in the courtyard and garden. It is a model that suggests to the Astengo group the type of system that characterizes the design of the new district.
