Section of the project for the pedestrian area and the parking, 2004
The project for the underground parking was started in 2004 by using the tunnel system which was constructed in the 1930s. The floor was repaved with stone slabs and blocks of porfido while the access stairs are added without interfering. The pedestrianisation enhances the global vision of the square.
