Piazza Repubblica cohousing

The octagonal square that surrounds the market was completed around 1820 by Gaetano Lombardi, following Juvarra's project. In 2013, the nineteenth-century buildings at the corners of via Priocca and via Mameli undergoing severe abandonment were purchased by a group of new users who built 27 new cohousing accommodations designed by Fagnoni & Associati.

Two experimental cohousing interventions are located in the early-nineteenth century northern branches of the octagonal square. The projects are noteworthy for their innovative management system and location.
