The centerpiece of Turin geometry
In Porta Palazzo, Juvarra enriched the design of the urban door, repeated other three times at the end of cardinal axes of the city, with a giant cross of streets meant to be, in the following century, the cornerstone of development in the north part of Turin, the most complete and neatest in the modern city.
The square is the perfect junction between the old center and the nineteenth-century developments, organized starting from the large avenues that intersect in front of the urban gate.
