The fireworks of the celebration of San Giovanni

On June 24th the city celebrates its patron saint San Giovanni Battista. The event is celebrated with various religious and pagan traditions, like the bonfire of Piazza Castello and the costume parade. One of the most spectacular events is the explosion of fireworks that was traditionally held every year in the square. In 2018, the fireworks were replaced by safer and more modern light shows created with drones.
