A square for Vittorio Emanuele I

The project for a large Square for the coming of the King took place between 1817 and 1818 with the first Post-Napoleonic Restoration. The Castellamonte-style exedra is maintained, from which the square will develop to the river. The intent of the King was to circumscribe the town with a duty border and to provide an opening at the height of the square.
