Of Ferdinando Bonsignore
The initial project, a green belt around the city, is developed in a differentiated way: in the south and west spaces for urban expansion, instead in the north the extension of the Gardens ex-Reali, given the desire expressed by Napoleon to make Turin "une ville de plaisance". Instead of Vanchiglia there is a splendid system of gardens along an axis that connects to the round port on the Po.
