The cornerstone of the city
The road was conceived in the seventeenth century as a backbone of the city. Built with considerable resources for its time, it has a clear commercial vocation. All along the porches - the so-called “porti dla pieuva” that have always allowed Turin residents to remain indoors on rainy days - there are shops and cafes.
