Allegorical carriages and events

The Turin tradition wanted that the wide and straight artery became theater, during the Carnival, of parades of wagons and carriages, up to the rides of Piazza Vittorio. Especially during the 18th and 19th centuries, sets are created with decorations and allegories. In recent years, via Po is crossed by processions of students and workers, as for example on the occasion of 1 May.
