The Basilica Mauriziana

The Magistral Basilica of the Mauritian Order is its religious seat. It stands on a pre-existing Romanesque church dedicated to Saint Paul and used by the Archconfraternity of Santa Croce until 1728 (the one seen in the Theatrun Sabaudiae). It is located next to the Galleria Umberto I which housed the first seat of the Mauriziano Hospital, called dei Cavalieri. The façade, originally designed by Juvarra, was built in the years 1835-36 by Carlo Bernardo Mosca, commissioned by King Carlo Alberto with a neoclassical style.
