The decumanus arrives at the Gate
In front of the door of Palazzo Madama, a meter below the slabs of the square there is still, practically intact, the pavement of the Roman decumanus, in stone basolato worked 2000 years ago.
In the photo, you can see the findings of road excavations at the corner of Via Garibaldi and Piazza Castello.
