Chasing the parrot

Ajax is in love with a young girl, Annita, who is strongly linked to her parrot, Socrates. One day Socrates runs away from home and the woman promises that she will not marry Ajax until he has rescued him. The misadventures of Ajax, forced to chase the bird throughout the city and beyond, start. In the scene in question, the parrot, previously stolen from him by two shady thieves is sold to a distinguished lady and her father, headed to Genoa to embark for Havana. For this reason the filming takes place in Corso Vittorio, because of the proximity of the Corso to the Porta Nuova Station.
