From urban edge to central axis
The avenue was created to form the southern edge of the historic city. It stands with an important bridge over the Po and, to the west, reaches Corso Francia at the edge of the peripheral strip of the twentieth century.
The image of google earth shows the nineteenth-century board axis transformed into an axis of symmetry of a continuous city: the previous urban layout was "mirrored" in 1900 beyond Porta Nuova.
