One of the most elegant squares of the city, in which history and legends live together.
Door square, open for those coming from outside. Located on the attack of the Roman road to the Gauls (the route of Corso Francia) that was prolonged in the Roman decumanus (Via Garibaldi). The integrity of the plant design, the dedication to the Albertine Statute and the monument to the engineering and worker heroism of the Frejus Tunnel and the prestige of services and trade under the arcades make it an extraordinary and living example of nineteenth-century Grand Place.
