The addition of the statues
In 1911, Giovanni Reduzzi and Luigi Contratti made four statues with the purpose to enrich the bridge because citizens said that it was too simple and linear. This bridge is the expression of the era when it was built, taking inspiration from Florentine and French models of the past.
