A puzzle along the coast
The course of the blocks along the walls is precisely that of the waterfront, with a service road (vico S.Croce) behind, obtained in the narrow space conquered on the steep slope of the hill of Castello, where the acropolis of the ancient city was established.
In the map of Brusco (1760) the Walls della Marina e delle Grazie coincide with the sea line and are separated from the houses only by the walkway built on the rocks. Note the Campana rock, mentioned as an urban place.
