Montalenghe MontalengheOn the hill of Castelvecchio, so called because of the ruins of a castle of the XI-XIII century, some finds reveal a Roman descendant of the village. The first testimony of the "Castrum Montalengarum" dates back to 1181, but only in 1263, it was possible to discover certain testimonies of the community. Montalenghe remained a fief until the seventeenth century, unlike other neighboring settlements. Notwithstanding, the feudal lords always granted the rights to the community goods, for example on the wood surrounding the village.
