In 1884 the first important Exposition took place, which bequeathed to the city the Medieval Village, perfect reproduction of a feudal castle of the '400 with its village, built in less than two years on the proposal of the architect De Andrade. In addition to the Borgo, on the banks of the Po there are several buildings, designed by Camillo Riccio, for an area greater than that of the Paris Exhibition of 1867! The First International Architecture Exhibition of 1890 saw the participation of most of the protagonists of Italian architecture and more than fifty European cities, arousing a lively debate on the architectural and cultural landscape of the end of the century.
