Borgo San Salvario Torino

The San Salvario's area was crossed at the beginning of the nineteenth century by the great royal roads that led to Nice and Stupinigi and the diagonal that led from the Porta Nuova to the Valentino Castle. In the thirties the first intentions of private individuals to build south of the Avenue of the King are manifested above all small villas and country houses. In the following years, private initiatives for construction in the area increased and so was set up in 1846, by the City, a Zoning Plan for the new factories between the avenues of the King and San Salvario.
