The neighbourhood today
Today, the neighbourhood hosts various activities of the tertiary sector. Since the early 2000s, a lively nightlife characterised by multi-ethnic venues, pubs and restaurants has developed here. The district also houses two local markets, one in Piazza Madama Cristina and the other in Piazza Nizza. In addition, Turin newspaper La Stampa has its headquarters in this neighbourhood, in Via Lugaro.
