With the building expansion of the seventies, the area is equipped with a regular road network, which is gradually filled with buildings intended mainly for rent. The orthogonal mesh stands on the large avenues according to the rules dictated by the enlargement plan of 1850 that outlined the principles on which the entire city would develop throughout the nineteenth century: structural integration with the pre-existence, continuation of the great axes of the ancient city, planimetric configuration to isolated closed, according to the theories promulgated by Carlo Promis.
