Pian del Re Crissolo

The torbiera, a damp and semi-marshy area that occupies most of the plateau, houses a small animal of 10-15 cm, the black Salamander, called Lanza, a rare and protected type, typical of this part of the Alps. The Parco del Monviso manages the nature reserve that protects the area, and the Pro Natura association has set up the equipped area that allows the use of the site with respect for the environmental heritage.
