Twenty ideas for a new Lingotto
In 1982, twenty architects were invited to redesign the newly decommissioned Lingotto area. It was an international consultation launched by FIAT through a mixed-capital company. None of the twenty projects were selected, but the originality and innovation of the ideas was well represented by a selected array of internationally renowned architects. It was then Renzo Piano who won the assignment.
