In 1939, the castle and the park complex of Agliè were transferred to the State. After repairing the damage caused by the Germans during the last war, the complex was run by the Commission for the Environmental and Architectural Heritage of Piedmont, which opened the rooms and the park to the public. In 1955, all the buildings were restored by Umberto Chierici, and in the seventies by the architect Giorgio Fea. The castle is part of the Castelli del Canavese circuit, moreover, in 1997 the entire complex and the Savory residences were named a Word Heritage Site by UNESCO. In the last twenty years, the public has rediscovered and visited the palace thanks to the television series “Elisa di Rivombrosa”.
