On the model of the palaces with stepped courtyards of Strada Nuova, the seventeenth-century Jesuit College which became University in the late 1700s.
The historical seat of the University, like the town hall, are appropriate to house public institutions, but they have been designed like sumptuous noble palaces. The sequence of the three levels of the courtyards makes visiting and studying in these spaces unforgettable. Until a few years ago, the library, built at the end of the 1700s in the adjacent church of the Jesuit College, participated in the overall charm.
