The bell tower of the Church of Sant'Agata towers over Cesnola. Passing under the bell tower, through the archway, you can take the old road, passing a Nineteenth-century fountain carved from a single block of marble. The paved road narrows until it becomes a mule track that leads, now as in the Middle Ages, among the terraced vineyards, patches of chestnut trees and meadows enclosed by boulders and piles of stones: a centuries-old landscape that is still enchanting.
The mule track between Cesnola and the castle is part of numerous recommended and guided routes from the best hiking sites. e.g. : https://visitcanavese.it/ https://www.inalto.org/it https://trekkingnordovest.com/
