The bomb-shelter's history

Built at the end of 1943, the anti-aircraft shelter, located in Piazza Risorgimento, was initially designed to cover an area of 700 square meters and to have 4 entrances, but during the construction, the surface was reduced to 550 square meters and only two entrances were created. It was closed after the war and abandoned for decades, it has recently been reopened to the public for guided visits and special occasions such as on Liberation Day. In 2013, the shelter was closed for restorations and it was reopened the following year.
