The district that houses the monument
The Bust of Taras Shevchenko, an illustrious Ukrainian intellectual, is located in Borodianka, an urban-type settlement in Bucha Raion in the Kyiv Oblast province. Became famous from the second half of the 19th century for its anti-Russian revolutionary uprisings led by Władysław Żeleński.
