The ceiling

The ceiling represents an example of the turinese Carloalbertine art. It was made by Francesco Gonin, an artist favored by the king. He decorated the Palazzo Reale and was in charge of decorating the Regio for Alessandro's arrival, who was also the prince of Russia. This work, developed in a radial pattern, shows mainly scenes depicting Bacco, god of ritual madness.
