A butterfly map

The newly built theatre, larger than that of Benedetto Alfieri, is designed by Carlo Mollino, which enhances the curved space of the stages of the Baroque theater anticipating from the foyer an enveloping curvilinear system that culminates in the "oyster" of the audience.

The sinuous shape of the plan is faithfully reproduced in the perimeter walls in brick, which refer to the Palazzo Carignano. The ellipse of the stalls is accompanied by the balconies and stairs for the stages, which enliven the space of the foyer.
