A great baroque theatre

A large hemicycle with five tiers of dais and an audience located on the first floor, as usual in theaters from the sixteenth century onwards. The theater, of 1740, immediately enters the ranks of the most famous European theaters, for the sumptuousness of the scenes and the capacity (2500 seats)

In the Benedetto Alfieri's drawing, author of the project, the rationality of the building is highlighted, covered with large and complex trusses where the stage machines are housed.
