A stage for the nobility

The Restoration continues the uses of the eighteenth century: the renovated Theatre offers itself as a splendid showcase for the most prestigious performances of the young nobility miltare or for the tragedies that excite the bridesmaids, as romantic melodrama gradually takes over.
