An addition to Piazza Castello

The complex of the palace, 50 meters from Piazza Castello, expands the extraordinary system of representative and functional spaces of the Savoy Kingdom occupying an anomalous space, of two blocks, in the regular grid traced to expand the Roman city.

Originally, the Palace cluttered the entire block between Via Accademia Albertina and Via Bogino, in the red circle, including the current Piazza Carlo Alberto, then a private garden that connected the stables (now the National Library)
