Amazing interior

For over two centuries the rulers have continually enriched and brightened the interior of the Palace, calling artists and artisans to create furnishings and decoration, engaging them in the halls of representation and in the new apartments and accommodations on the occasion of the marriage of princes, generation after generation. Despite the overlapping of different tastes and styles, the result is of substantial unity in the sign of a heavy baroque and of a luxury that contrasts with the sobriety of the architecture and the exterior.

In the picture the ballroom redesigned by Pelagio Pelagi in 1834, taking "inspiration" from Greek architecture and Pompeian decorations.
