Basilica di Superga Torino

One of the saddest events in the football history took place outside the cathedral. In 1949, flight G.212 crashed in the southern side of the building at 5:03 PM , because of the fog and a fault linked to flying devices. Unluckily , there weren't any survivors , but after what happened , every 4th of May the Torino football team fans meet up here to commemorate the accident by bringing gifts that they leave on an altar built where the plane crashed.
