In 2004, a project for the reconstitution of the royal vineyard of Turin began, entrusted to the Balbiano Company, which in 2009, celebrated its first production with as many as 40 quintals of grapes that gave rise to the first bottles of the "Vigna della Regina" 2009. In 2014, Azienda Balbiano officially presented the first DOC vintage of Freisa di Chieri Vigna Villa della Regina.
