The architecture of the station

The architectural style of the railway station is the classical one, in vogue during those years. The architectural theme seems very complex: the building has to represent the progress and, at the same time, it has to respect a correct integration in the urban context. The main facade has a porch (in line with the rest of Corso Vittorio) which gives the access to the station through five portals. The ground floor is made of ashlar and it surmounted with a glazed loggia with an arched tympanum in the middle that presents the immense metal nave of the station.
