Faithful of Bruno, faithful to his attention to the poor and disadvantaged, he wanted an unprecedented height of over 80 meters for the bell tower of his church. Knowing the conditions of work and exploitation suffered by the workers, he placed at the top, on each side of the tower, just under the spire, a clock two meters in diameter that would be visible in most of the city and accessible to all. In this way he wanted to prevent the workers and workers of Turin from being deceived about working time.
The tower was the highest in the city and its huge clocks showed the exact hour from afar.
