He took first place at the regional exhibition in Galicia, received the medal of merit and five gold ducats for beautifully decorated high-quality objects. It is known that at that time the Imperial Court of Vienna bought the master’s tiled stove. O. Bakhmatyuk was written in local and foreign publications, and the need to study the creative heritage of the master was mentioned in school textbooks and in the ordering of the Kolomyia Pottery School, founded in 1876. Bakhmatyuk has developed a special way in representing people. The figures, as a rule, stand in profile. Women are dressed in blouses and long skirts. Men in short shorts (only the head changes: sometimes it is naked, other times he wears a top hat, or a traditional Hutsul hat). The world of flora and fauna is widely represented by the master. Flowers, images of animals and birds - deer, bulls, lions and magnificent peacocks and roosters.
