Зелені святки / Green week Fedorivka

On the Green Saturday, the house, the yards and various buildings were decorated with a "klechennia" (green branches of trees and leaves). Keeping "klechennia" the next day is a good sign that the owners will survive until the next green Saturday. The floor in the house was lined with fragrant herbs: tortoise, thyme, canaper, wormwood. Ukrainians chose more often maple, linden and birch. After all the rituals, people sat down for dinner.
