At the end of the 18th century the city took the tipical almond shape and the communications system with the park became more complex, in terms of definition of the avenues. The wood around the villa became a fenced park. The first buildings of the Botanical Garden of the Royal University were built and a sawmill near the Po rised as first productive activity in the area.
