Luogo di scontri

The name "Le Vallere" Is derived from the name that the French gave to the embankments built in 1541, at the time of the first occupation of Piedmont by the French. The area is mentioned for the first time under the name "Les Valleres" in a mountain map, written in the 17th century. In 1706, during the siege of Turin by the French, the Vallere area was the scene of clashes between the French and the Piedmontese troops. Ancient maps show the dislocation of agricultural land and farmhouse, built at the end of the seventeenth century, still today located a few tens of meters from the road entrance of the Vallere Park.
