The project for the establishment of the park is born with the objective to recover the environmental and landscape heritage, as well as the physical one, of this island of both archeological and naturalistic interest. As the place had been abandoned for more than fifty years, it was in need of new activities to encourage the locals to enjoy again its peculiar features. The promotion of the socio-economical enhancement of the Island has been favored by the establishment of artisanal activities and facilities that were absent before on its territory.
